“BROKE DOWN”
out now
Jayce Turley has already been entrenched in Kentucky’s storied music scene for years, both as a fan and as a performer. In that time, he has gathered the stories of someone twice his age.
The Greenup County, Kentucky native attended his first concert at the age of two, began playing at six, and hit the road with his original songs at 14. Turley’s songs, including the songs on his new album, Broke Down, mix bluegrass and honky-tonk sounds with genuine songwriting that offers a glimpse at Turley’s Appalachian past.
His “truly Appalachian” vibe “represents the upcoming generation’s eyes forward” while “drawing inspiration from both modern musicians inspired by vintage sounds and the vintage sounds that paved the road for those influences” (The AMP).
